We always knew we wanted to do a destination
wedding so when we got engaged in April 2012 we
began the process of planning! By September when
I looked at all that I had accomplished (or NOT
accomplished) regarding wedding planning I knew
something needed to be done!
I had met Jaime from My Way With Style at a
destination wedding show and disregarded our
meeting because I thought I had things under
control. After seeing how little I had done, my
older sister suggested I give Jaime call so we
could get things rolling. BEST DECISION I EVER
MADE!
Needless to say, Jaime came right alongside me
and took it all over! I really didn't enjoy
wedding planning so having her do this took
loads off my shoulders!
We shared a pinterest account, in which I posted
ideas and what I liked and she made it all
happen! She even took care of all the resort
correspndance! If I had any questions or
concerns I NEVER waited more than 2 hours for an
email response from Jaime.
Arriving in Mexico I knew I could relax and
enjoy myself without having any wedding concerns
as Jaime had sent me with everything I needed to
present to the wedding planner out there. The
wedding day was an absolute dream with ZERO
hiccups!
I couldn't have imagined a more perfect day and
I know that so much of it was thanks to Jaime
and her endless work and effort!
I truly believe I saved THOUSANDS of dollars on
my wedding thanks to Jaime and her team! She
even convinced the resort to extend our party 2
hours longer than allowed...free of charge! (I
chatted with another bride who got married 3
days after me and she was forced to shut down
her reception 2 hours earlier than we did!)
I would hire My Way With Style all over again
and I would recommend it to every bride out
there...especially destination brides, planning
a far away wedding is overwhelming and Jaime
made it look like a breeze!!! Thanks so SO
SOOOOOO MUCH Jaime, Tiffany and the rest of the
My Way With Style team for making Ry and I's
special day THE VERY BEST!!!

Sorry it has taken me so long to do this but I
didn’t even know where to begin so I thought
back to the very beginning. I was so excited but
nervous at the same time, I was engaged and
about to start planning my wedding!!
I was terrified when I called for the first
time, although I had been referred from a friend
and knew in advance what wonderful people I
would be working with. Imagine planning a
destination wedding and having never traveled
anywhere before!
When Jaime answered and we spoke it was an
instant click, I knew it was going to work but I
had no clue where to travel so I left that to
Jaime. She named a few places for Adam and I to
look up online and see but highly recommended we
go to Huatulco, Mexico. She had quotes made up
for us within days of talking to her and we were
comparing prices. With all our faith in Jaime we
decided Huatulco was the place and deposits were
made. From that moment on it began and we were
officially planning a wedding, that is when
Tiffany joined in as our wedding planner and it
is an understatement to say I could not have
done any of this without her!!
My save the dates and invitations were breath
taking, the team took my colors and explanations
of the style I wanted to capture and Jaime’s
designs were better than I could have ever
imagined. I carried an extra invitation around
just to show people how amazing they turned out!
Tiffany thought of every little detail,
everything I overlooked or didn’t even think I
needed to think about she had on a list for me.
Our meetings were fabulous and felt like meeting
for coffee with an old friend and chatting
rather than a business meeting.
Both Tiffany and Jaime were easily accessible to
me and my guests any time day or night. My
guests had many travel questions and within
minutes of emailing Jaime she would reply back,
amazing customer service, you really come first
to Travel and Events With Style.
And Tiffany, oh where do I even begin, she truly
is Heaven sent and there for you anytime day,
night, weekend. Every little crisis I had or
panic attack I would send her an email and a
friendly reply would arrive moments later to
calm me down and make me smile. When I got a
little overwhelmed she would switch her schedule
to make a coffee date and sit and discuss my
concerns with me. Again the customer service
from this group of lovely people is phenomenal
they were always available to me and my guests.
With it being my first time traveling ever
imagine all the questions and concerns and fears
I had but they always had a positive friendly
response even though I am sure they were “sick”
of hearing from me!!
I cannot stress enough how difficult planning a
destination wedding would have been without
Jaime and Tiffany! Having them on my team made
it so simple they took care of all the details,
arranged everything with the resort, assisted
with the purchase of decorations (and helped get
good prices and even better shipping) and
provided me with a detailed itinerary of the
wedding day!
When we arrived, because of the great job
Tiffany did, our meeting with the resort wedding
coordinator took no time at all as everything
had been sent over prior all I had to do was
confirm all the details
Tiffany and I had reviewed a thousand times
before and give them the decor I brought with me
and I was off to enjoy the sun and the sand
stress free!!!
I have to say that I would recommend a
destination wedding to anyone trying to decide
which way to go; it was easy, stress free,
relaxing and the pictures are breathtaking!
Along with that anyone getting married would be
crazy to not hire Jaime and Tiffany to assist
with their special day whether destination or
local! I have been referring all my friends and
colleagues to Travel and Events With Style and
will continue to do so, I honestly would not
have been able to do it without them!!

Oh my gosh where do
I start! Well I will say this first hand, your
work is outstanding, my invitations, my save the
dates and all the graphics for our wedding are
absolutely beautiful. For what we paid for your
entire service we likely could have JUST got our
invitations and save the date cards made to our
taste by a different provider.
I was hesitant at first going with you as I
wasn't sure and couldn't imagine what you could
possibly do to earn the full amount of your fee.
In going into this I thought, without a doubt, a
destination wedding is the simple easy choice
and there was next to no planning involved. I was
convinced that it was a 2 part process..
Committing to it and then getting a package from
the resort saying choose one of 5 and it would
be as good as done.
I can not stress it enough to anyone starting
this process that that is NOT how its done and
Jaime is a GOD SEND!!! There are a few things
included in this package on paper but there is
SO SO SO much more involved in what she does.
From a minute by minute wedding day schedule,
detailed and updated cost breakdowns on a
regular basis, keeping in contact with all your
guests to make sure everyone is booked in and
paid with updated bookings lists, finding ALL
your vendors at the best price possible, finding
"at cost" vendors here in Winnipeg to provide
the things that Cabo couldn't provide at a good
price and not collecting a cent of commission
off of it as most people would, the list could
honestly go on for days if I had the time. In a
nut shell, you have a couple options: you could
have 1 bouquet, one center piece, folding
chairs, stained white tables clothes, no color
concept and an "as simple as it gets" wedding,
or you could spend hours each day trying to
communicate back and forth to 8 different
vendors and the hotel, all in which will not
reply to your calls or emails and you will be
stressed to the max until the day of your
wedding, OR you could hire Jaime who does
EVERYTHING!! Can't stress that enough.. She does
EVERYTHING!! I have spoken to her almost every
day for the last 4 months! She calls Mexico
within minutes every single time I have a
request and fights to the bitter end to get me
every single thing I want. If the resort says no
not possible... Jaime will keep calling until it
IS possible. In working with the decorator,
florist, hair stylist, the hotel, the cake
decorator, the furniture provider and the list
could go on and on... She takes over the
communication with everyone, you do not have to
do a thing except tell her what you want and how
much you want to pay and I can honestly say I
have not once been even slightly disappointed.
We have now been in the midst of planning our
Cabo wedding for almost 6 months and every
single day we have said... Thank god for Jaime,
we could have NEVER done this ourselves. If
anything... We have said many times in the last
few months that she should be asking for more
money for what she does.
She is amazing and I will refer her to every
single person who ever mentions wanting to have
a destination wedding!!!

When deciding on going forward with a
Destination Wedding, we knew our first plan of
action was to find a really great travel agent
to coordinate our guests flights and itineraries
to wherever we would wed. We stumbled across a
website named "Travel and Events with Style" and
decided to meet with the owner Jaime
Valdes-Riench at our favourite Starbucks. Jaime
did not come solo to our meeting - she had her
front-woman wedding planner, Tiffany Check come
along and boy are we glad she did! Branton and I
went back and forth with the idea of working
with Tiffany to aid with the planning process of
our Destination Wedding.
I really wanted to do it all myself and my inner
stubborn trait kept coming out. Working
alongside Tiffany was one of the best decisions
we made - she let me work with my vision for the
wedding, and helped a lot with the organizing,
planning, and logistics of unfolding my vision
into reality in another country.
Our last meeting with Tiffany was definitely
bittersweet! We were so excited to leave for
Mexico the following morning, yet at the same
time I felt like I was saying goodbye to a good
friend. All our coffee dates, late night emails
with the latest and greatest idea (and sometimes
not that greatest idea and a sign of lack of
sleep!) and we finally made it to that day - I
never wanted it to end in a way! Tiffany had met
the whole family, been to our home, parent's
home, and even my dad's work. If you are looking
for a fantastic wedding planner who truly cares
about your vision and dream, and is a great
friend, you are describing Tiffany in a
nutshell. Miss you girl.

Words can not describe how thankful we are for all of
your handwork and dedication to us over the last year
and a half. Hiring you as our wedding planner was not
only one of the best decisions, but also one of the most
rewarding experiences. You were so wonderful and we are
not sure what we would have done, had you not been there
every step of the way. You went above and beyond,
ensuring each detail was perfect and all about us. It is
still hard to believe how stress free the whole process
was. It allowed us to enjoy every aspect of planning our

to the chuppah, to the sparkler send off, it was exactly

and friendship throughout the planning and day of. You

& Soul Photography, and Fache Forward Designs), for
officiating the ceremony and putting together the whole
thing! The passion you have for what you do showed
through every aspect. We could not have dreamed of a

our vision for our Wedding to reality. From the
beginning ideas for invitations to helping us

us through our Wedding ceremony, they were

Conservatory and had the pleasure of having

Just weeks away from our destination wedding in
Europe our marriage visa was denied. When I
called Jaime with my dilemma she took over the
civil ceremony and told me that it would all
work out perfectly and it did! Even though
it was not the big ceremony with our family, she

vows and made it special for us. Her calm
attitude put me right at ease when my
pre-wedding nerves were taking over! Anyone
