We are very excited to announce that Travel & Events with Style is growing again!  We are currently looking for permanent event planner positions.  Please note if you are interested in opening your own company please do not apply.  We are only interested in candidates who are interested in making this their career.

Travel & Events with Style is an international wedding planning firm that specialized in stylish international weddings.  Meetings with clients are frequent in the evenings and weekends are often filled with local events as well.  The applicant we are looking for is someone who will be planning destination weddings on a regular basis; assist Jaime the owner and other lead planners with local weddings; and depending on experience level, will lead their own local weddings.  Applicant also must be available for our annual wedding show.  This year’s wedding show set up is Saturday, April 21, 2012 and the show will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2012.

Position: 
Associate International Wedding Planner (both Jr. Position or Lead Position available)
Note:  this position has room for growth and development. Looking for positions for both local and destination wedding planning.
Compensation:  
Negotiated according to experience.  Paid per contract only and hourly wages applicable on all assisting jobs.

Education Requirement:
 For local and destination wedding planner:  
   - Post secondary education in business or minimum of 3 years business experience.
   - WPIC and DWC certifications are mandatory for lead position.   Please do not apply for destination wedding planning if you only have your WPIC certification.
   - For local wedding/event planning – designation in the industry that either WPIC or equivalent.   WPIC designation is our priority.
Technology Investment:  Applicant must have a laptop and/or PC, cell phone.  Planner must be whiling to make international calls frequently.  Note: When moving into a full time position, planner will be required to have a designated business phone line.  We have resources to make long distance calls considerably more affordable if this is a challenge.
Hours:  Must be flexible in availability.  Must be available during some weekdays and most weekends for meetings and events as they are very frequent.  Position is not full time immediately.  Experience and how quickly the planner takes to the position will directly result more client contracts and responsibilities.

 Duties of Associate Planner:

  •  Attending scheduled consultations/initial meetings with perspective clients.
  •  Assisting with the preparation of proposals/quotes.
  • Willing to go above and beyond for every single client/vendor, every single time.
  •  Impeccable organization skills, proper email etiquette and are comfortable in any social situations with clients.
  • Excellent business skills, must have experience in letter writing and business proposal etiquette, and must be comfortable in Word, Excel
  • Contributing on a monthly basis to the Travel & Events with Style blog.  
  • Contributing to Social Media on wedding related items/posts. (FaceBook and Twitter).  User names on social media that will reflect the company and you as our associate planner.
  • Attending networking/social events as part of the Travel & Events with Style team.  This includes volunteering for our annual wedding show.  In turn you will result in wedding contracts.
  • Assisting on other weddings as needed
  • Assisting with media and magazine submissions when requested
  • Assisting with any wedding shows, trade shows or events Travel & Events with Style may have a booth or space at.  This includes Travel & Events with Style’s private wedding shows.
